photoshop's psd files w/ layers

does anybody know how to work with the photoshop's psd files containing layers? any libraries, components, etc...

It's quite simlpe, but you have to get to understand gimp sources. i didn't, so i stopped trying, you should try uin another way, and remember that google is your friend.
