PrintPreview Question

Postby rhartl » July 6th, 2006, 4:08 pm

This is probably a hopelessly simple question, but bear with me.

I am trying to use TPrintPreview to preview a document generated by some fairly complex code. The code produces the correct printed output, but the printpreview display has a very small representation of the printed output in the upper left corner. Is there a property change I need to make to fix this problem?

Probably you didn't set the correct value for Units property.

One more question.

The solution you suggested worked, thanks. I was kind of mislead by the change in output I got switching back and forth between PrinterPort and the printer driver.

Is there a reason for not surfacing the Keyup, Keydown, KeyPress events in TPrintPreview?

Yes, I think it's more flexible for a developer to handle key events as he/she whishes.

papertye wrong?

Postby rhartl » August 14th, 2006, 6:36 pm

I am using the default papertype pA4 for the control and the text ending up off the screen. The proporions of the text and graphics all appear well enough, there is just this one problem in that text at the right and on the bottom of the screen is being clipped. Any suggestions? Thanks.

You have to consider printer's printable area.
