TAssistant :: HintDlg :: Error

Postby Fishhead36 » September 12th, 2005, 12:19 pm

Greetings,

Unfortunatly i have two problems with TAssistant and HintDlg Topics.
I'm using Borland C++ 5 and 6. I can't install it on 6 because there i got an error by Editing := true... what ever, no problem. I using it on Borland C++ Builder 5 without (install/compile/linking) problem. Okay...

But as i said, i have two problems with the HintDlg Topics.

Problem 1:
If i set a topic at design time and then i close the topics add dialog and reopen it, i get an accessviolation error on address: 001BDC96 and 0305B068.

Problem 2:
The problem 2 is better said visual. so i attachet a screenshot.
The items are wrong displayed (liek bold or so) but i added it without bold or so. And the OnHintTopicClick event does not accours if i check the TopicID with a switch.

Hope you can help me 8) this component is absolutly the best one. better as the MS one :D

Hi,

The Office Assistant package has been released for Delphi. Therefore, the problems you've encountered can be caused because of BCB.

Please first read the following post to compile and install the package for BCB. If it didn't solve the problem, please post some code here.

Cheers

Thank you Kambiz.
I seen that this problems are not in older version. like 3.2

You were right!

There was a bug in the Topics property editor where caused all of these problems.

The bug is fixed and the update is available to download.

Thank you
