Hi,
Just to add my little story, In case it is of any interest, and in
case it may be relevant to anyone.
I have never been happy with the mainstream Reporting tools
in Delphi. Eg. ReportBuilder, QuickReports, Ace, and I guess FastReport.
etc. In my opinion they all want to do too much for one. I've been in
software pre-windows days, and never had a problem with producing
reports (providing the data is there somewhere). I have now got to
the stage where I must decide on a reporting tool. I had been using
one of the mainstream products as an interim measure. The thing that
I discovered to my amazement is that producing reports in Delphi is
easy. Just use the TPrinter canvas. The difficult part I discovered is
in previewing these reports. That is nowhere near as simple.
So, after searching, and searching ......., the best solution that I
think that I can find is TPrintPreview.
Thank you to all concerned for developing this product. It is early
days, I know, but I am hopeful that I will find a suitable
solution using your above product.
Just as a minor note, I replaced the TTabset component with a
TTabControl in my test program. I guess that the TTabset was
the only choice when first developed. Would there be any reason
not to replace it as I have done. (Well you never know).
Regards,
Brian
