zlib option in print preview

Postby lbc » October 7th, 2004, 9:48 am

Hello
about the zlib support, the documentation tells (see below) that for D5 and lower there is a zlib version available. Anyway I have D7, how to add exactly the zlib support? In case, would it be enough to cut the "dot" at the beginning of the directive

{.$define ZLIB}

getting:

{$define ZLIB}

?

thanks again for any tip/info about the above

ZLIB COMPRESSION

To save preview pages to a file (or stream) as compressed format:

* If you are using Delphi 5 or lower, get the freeware ZLib library for your version of Delphi at http://www.gzip.org/zlib.
* Open the Preview.pas file and define the ZLIB compiler directive in the begining of the file.

When the ZLib compression is active, the component can load both compressed and non-compressed files.

Yes, for D7 you only need to remove the "dot".
