Is Wave Audio Package compatible with Windows XP?

Postby pethead » August 19th, 2012, 9:34 am

Trying run a subj demo app called Sound Manager to test mixer controls, compiled in Delphi Xe2 to set volume of my USB mic (USB Audio Codec) in Windows XP. It works in WinVista&Win7, but doesn't work in WinXp. Result of get volume property after setting returns -1. Why?
In Winvista&WIN7 it returns correct volume value.

Sorry, I traced the code of setting volume and saw that my USB mic has not mcVolume in fAvailableControls. :^o
But in Vista&Win7 mcVolume is present.

It is the audio driver that should provide a feature. Maybe updating the driver can help your XP machine.
