Print Preview to create/print barcode labels?

Postby littlebigman » August 3rd, 2009, 11:55 am

Hello

I bought an entry-level label printer to create and print this type of label to stick on clothes.

The way it works, is that the user creates a new item in the database, then the program will create this new label on the fly (or save it as RTF, if PrintPreview can't work from RAM), and send it out to the label printer. As for the barcode part, I could either use a free 3of9 TrueType font, or get a VCL component to do this.

Do you think Print Preview is able to do this, or should I learn reporting tools like FastReport, etc.?

Thank you.

You can use PrintPreview with no problem, especially if you use a TrueType font for barcodes.
