hi all,

i am new to delphi programming platform. i need to develop a tool with GUI which can accept more data formats(excel, ascii etc..)...


can u suggest some material for file handling and segregation....

if possible suggest some online tutorial which will explain files handling and encapsulation in details?

hi all,

thanks for your suggestion... i gone through the sites.. my requirement is to read the codes of different formats like ascii, paradox, excel, binary from the input file and the output is any of the other(ascii -> paradox)...

And one more problem is, suggests how to make the same by using dilimiter option, since i av to eliminate some special charcters(pipeline, commas) while reading the file.....

wow, you sure you know what you want to do? I mean file operations are simple as **** in normal way, using streams even easier, so get a decent book, read it, write the right code and viola! done. Where's the problem.
