Internal errors

Postby richardchaven » May 30th, 2003, 1:34 pm

The internal compiler errors (the 'L' series) are pretty cryptic.

Does a Build All work?

Have you divided the code to see if the problem is with a specific unit?

Cheers

The Internal Error: L721

Postby chasoft » May 31st, 2003, 12:54 pm

When I compiler my project, sometimes, the Messages window shows "The Internal Error: L721" - but press F9 again & again. Then my project was compilered and nothing's wrong with my application - it works very well. My project is quite large so I don't know which unit generated this internal error despite I have checked all units.

My project is a database app so I wonder if my app can work wrong - so far, I didn't found out any bug.

Sometimes Build All (Ctrl-F9) works where just Compile (F9) will not.

Also, try deleting all of the DCU files (just YOUR dcu files; not the ones from third parties) and Build All again.

The L721 means that there is insufficient memory to do the operation. I haven't as yet found a way to get around this, as my computer has plenty of memory, but my program is also huge.
