Component designation

Postby geowink » July 26th, 2009, 8:43 pm

I just started using Delphi 2009 and find there is a name under every component on the form. This is very distracting and I'd like to remove them. I have looked at a bunch of options but can't find a toggle for this option. Do you know how to turn this off? Thanks...

I agree with you, and I guess there is no way to get rid of it.

It could be better if they would separate non-visual components on the design area. Something like what Visual Studio does.

I FOUND IT!!! Click Tools, Options. Under Environmental Options go to Delphi Options. Click VCL Designer. Under the Options take the check mark off "Show component captions." They are gone.
